Information:
Speakers are requested to upload their presentation
prior to the conference, to a protected server of M Events Cross
Media GmbH (http://www.m-events.eu).
The following instructions need to be read carefully. At the end
you will find the guide for submitting your presentation file(s).
During the conference a network-based presentation system will be
used along with a conference specific interface to ensure the perfect
quality of all presentations.
Detailed online support is available during the upload process.

requests to conferences@eps.org.
After the congress, your uploaded data will be deleted from all
the M Events storage. They will not distribute your files unless
they receive a written authorization by you or the organizers.

Prior submitting your presentation a username and a password are
required to download your presentation. This information was sent
to all authors. In case you did not receive it by now, thanks to

After your presentation has been successfully submitted you will
receive an automated confirmation email.
Each meeting room is equipped with a fixed Computer
and a data-projector.
Own laptops cannot be connected in the rooms. All presentations
must be uploaded in advance (via internet or on-site) to the network.
Only MS-PowerPoint (ver. 2000, 2002 (XP), 2003,
2004, 2007) and PDF presentations are permitted for this conference.
We accept all common video formats! Please be aware
that movies in non recommended formats will be re-encoded to divxpro
5.11 (4.000 Kbit/s) on site. To avoid waiting time at the speakers
service centre you may want to read the recommendations:
You may at all time send additional files, make
changes on files you sent and download your files again.
(Please skip if you are not common with using different codecs and
formats)
- We prefer DivxPro 5.11 (4000 Kbit/s) as our system
is supporting this format natively
- We do not playback any .mpg / .mpeg formats as these are likely
to cause various issues
- Please use .avi files (MPEG 1 format, Techsmith, Indeo 5.1, DV-AVI
or divx5.11)
• Please don´t use higher versions of divx as we encountered
various issues with the playback functionality within PowerPoint
• Avoid QuickTime compressed movies as it takes longer than
other formats to recompress and reassign those
Fonts:
- Embedded fonts are supported by our system
• To embed your font:
- “save as”
• “tools” or “options” in the “save
as” dialog (upper right or lower left)
• “Embed true type fonts”
• Check: “embed all” (increases file size but
enables you to do changes on site)
- Please read any error message that may come up
Upload procedure:
- Your may send in your files via our upload and review system.
We will check all files for compatibility and movie playback etc.
if received in time.
• Please download the revised version
before doing further changes (if applicable)
- Some network configurations (proxy servers) are disallowing file
uploads
• Please check your login window for our information message
“you are using a proxy server - your upload might fail”
- Our system is tested for uploads above 1,5 Gigabyte
• If your file size exceeds 1,5 Gigabye you may want to bring
your data on a memory stick o.e.
• A successful upload ends with a confirmation message and
a automated e-mail
• The “status bar” of your browser does NOT display
the progress
• The upload may fail due to
- Slow internet connection
• Your dial-in provider may close the connection whilst uploading
- Proxy server may cause a “page cannot be displayed”
error – try using another internet connection or talk to your
IT department
• ADSL or (t-dsl) means your download speed is faster than
your upload speed
- Even with a 6 or 16 MBit ADSL connection a 10 MByte upload may
take up to 5 minutes
• a 500 Mbyte Upload may take 2 hours or longer
• with the proper internet connection you may upload the same
file in one minute.
In addition to the physical poster sessions taking
place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, poster authors also have
the possibility to view all posters in electronic form at the ePoster
terminal in the internet area. The attendees can also leave a comment
for you.
As author of a poster, you are invited to upload the electronic
file prior to the congress for display on the ePoster terminal to
a protected server of M Events Cross Media GmbH.
Detailed online support is available during the upload process.
The electronic Posters shall be submitted online
by the 15th of June 2007 to be available during the congress.

are required to download the presentation.
For submitting your presentation file use:

with the prepared submission slot(s) for your poster-presentation
file(s).
When your file(s) has been successfully submitted you will receive
an automated confirmation email.
Only MS-Powerpoint presentations with maximum three slides are permitted
for this conference.
Please use -slideshow- as page format or a 4:3 format with a minimum
quality of 1024x768 of the pictures.
Do not forget to send your video files as they cannot be embedded
into the presentation.
After the conference all submitted files will be deleted from all
storage media.
